Clinton Glasscock Obituary:Louisville, KY – The city of Louisville lost a beloved resident with the passing of Clinton L. Glasscock on August 3, 2023 at the age of 52. Glasscock was a successful insurance executive and passionate community leader who touched countless lives across the city.

Clinton Glasscock Obituary: Early Life and Education

Clinton Lee Glasscock was born on April 27, 1971 in Louisville, KY to parents C. Edward Glasscock and Mary F. Glasscock. He graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1989, where he excelled as a standout member of the tennis team. Glasscock continued his academics and tennis career at Furman University, graduating in 1993 after winning a Regional Championship in 1992.

Insurance Career

After college, Glasscock returned to Louisville to build his career. In 2000, he partnered with his cousin Jimmy Dan Conner and Danny McMahan to purchase the Old Colony Insurance Agency. Under their leadership, the agency thrived and was eventually acquired by BB&T in 2010. Most recently, Glasscock worked for McGriff Insurance Agency after they acquired BB&T’s insurance business in 2020.

Throughout his career, Glasscock established himself as a highly successful insurance executive through his business acumen, leadership, and passion for the industry. He touched many lives through his work.

Community Involvement

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Glasscock was heavily involved in the Louisville community. He served on numerous boards and organizations including Maryhurst Big Springs, Junior Achievement, the Kentucky Derby Museum, and Bellarmine University.

Glasscock was also an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and Second Presbyterian Church over the years. Most recently, he shared his passion for tennis and mentored students as an assistant coach for St. Xavier High School’s tennis team.

Passions and Hobbies

Outside of work and community service, Clinton Glasscock pursued numerous passions including sports and thoroughbred horse racing. He developed close friendships and enjoyed great successes while competing at elite levels of horse racing.

Glasscock also founded Two Dimes Stables and co-managed Northstar Racing, remaining actively involved in “the sport of kings” up until his passing.

Remembrance and Legacy

Clinton L. Glasscock passed away peacefully on August 3, 2023, leaving behind his loving fiancée Jennifer Mutwalli and her two sons, Zade and Kasey. He will also be dearly missed by countless close cousins and friends whose lives he touched.

Funeral services will be held on August 8, 2023 at Second Presbyterian Church, followed by a celebration of life at Harmony Landing Country Club. Glasscock’s legacy as a leader, mentor, and community pillar will live on in Louisville for years to come. Though he may be gone, his spirit endures in the hearts of all who knew him.
