Ashley MacDonald Callahan was born on April 22, 1983 in Utah to parents Marilyn Sturgeon MacDonald and Steven MacDonald. She graduated from the University of Georgia, where she cherished her time as a proud Georgia Bulldog.
Ashley worked passionately as a teacher, dedicating herself to enriching the lives of students. She brought joy and inspiration to all who knew her through her kind, loving spirit.
Family meant everything to Ashley. She adored her two sons Charles and Vincent, husband Dane, parents, siblings Chelsea and Michael, and in-laws Sean and Beth Callahan. Her loved ones will deeply feel her absence.
Mourning a Devastating Loss
Ashaley tragically lost her life in a fatal car accident involving a school bus on a Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred at the intersection of Georgia 81 and Ozora Church Road around 4:44 p.m.
The outpouring of grief on social media highlights just how many cherished Ashley’s warm presence. She touched countless lives through her work as an educator and through the light she brought to those fortunate to know her.
Honoring Her Legacy
To honor Ashley MacDonald Callahan’s remarkable life, a memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 13 at 3:00 PM at Walnut Grove High School Auditorium in Loganville. Visitation will take place from 1:00 – 3:00 PM prior in the school cafeteria.
While her devastating passing leaves many questions, Ashley’s legacy of kindness and compassion is undeniable. She will remain in the hearts of students, family, and all in Good Hope who loved her bright spirit. We hope cherished memories sustain her loved ones through this difficult time. Ashley will never be forgotten.
