Chris Van Huis was born in Hamilton, where he spent his entire life giving back to the local community. He attended Hamilton schools and went on to become an active voice in the area.
Chris was passionate about University of Michigan athletics, frequently sporting the maize and blue to cheer on his teams. He found great joy in spending time with family and friends. Chris was known for his humor, kindness and ability to connect with anyone.
He leaves behind his wife Becky, children Taylor and Chase, parents Bob and Mary, siblings, extended family, and countless friends. Chris was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.

Throughout his life, Chris Van Huis played an active role in the Hamilton area through education, youth initiatives, his church, and more. He took pride in seeing the community thrive.
Chris always stepped up to lend a hand wherever needed. His generous spirit and commitment to service touched many lives over the years. Though gone too soon, his legacy endures.

While deeply mourning his loss, Chris’ family and friends choose to focus on the joy he brought to their lives and his lasting impact on Hamilton.
Visitation with the family is 3:00-6:00 pm on Sunday, August 20 at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St. Zeeland, MI 49464.
Memorial services are at 11:00 am Monday, August 21, 2023, at Haven Reformed Church, 4691 Oak Street, Hamilton, MI 49419 with Rev. Michael Drew officiating.
