Bryan Holley Obituary: Bryan Holley’s Distinguished Career
Bryan Holley was a highly respected officer who got his start as a deputy constable in Angelina County in 1992. After 4.5 years of exemplary service, he joined the Angelina County Sheriff’s Department.
During his 17 years with the department, Holley worked in patrol, narcotics and the SWAT team, ultimately rising to the rank of Lieutenant. He was skilled, dedicated and passionate about keeping his community safe.
In 2013, Officer Holley transitioned to serving the Hudson ISD community as a school resource officer. He cherished bonding with students and keeping a watchful, caring eye over the district.
A Pillar of the Community
Beyond his accomplished law enforcement career, Officer Holley was a devoted family man who gave back whenever possible. He ran for Angelina County Sheriff in 2020, driven by his care for the community.
Officer Holley had a gift for bringing laughter and fun to those around him. His presence boosted spirits at Hudson ISD, where he was beloved by all. He will be dearly missed.

The sudden passing of Officer Bryan Holley in the line of duty has shaken Lufkin to its core. But his 31-year legacy of selfless service and community protection will never be forgotten.
As per some sources a visitation will take place on August 25, followed by a funeral service at TimberCreek Church on August 26 to honor Officer Holley’s profound impact. Though deeply grieved, his memory persists.
