Born in 1955 in Salt Lake City to Jerry and Lucille Romney, Jeffrey discovered his lifelong passion for the outdoors during childhood summers boating on Lake Powell. He carried this spirit of adventure throughout his life, enjoying activities like hiking, skiing, and exploring nature.
Devoted Husband and Father
Jeffrey married Robyn Lombardi in 1983 and welcomed two cherished children, Sadie and Jantzen. Though the marriage ended, they remained friends. In 1996, Jeffrey wed Melinda Tuckett Harrison, blending their families seamlessly. Together they were blessed with two more daughters, Taygen and Jayde, completing their joy.
Prioritizing Family
As a hands-on father, Jeffrey attended his kids’ varied activities and encouraged their interests. He lived the motto “Family First” and adored time together boating, camping, and playing sports.

A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Jeffrey served in many callings. He particularly cherished working closely with youth in the bishopric. His service enriched many lives.
Lasting Legacy
While Jeffrey’s tragic passing leaves his family devastated, they find solace remembering his insatiable curiosity and passion for living life to its absolute fullest. The joy, laughter and love he gave so freely to others will remain his enduring legacy.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Draper Stake Center at 13085 South 300 East in Draper, Utah. Visitations will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens at 1950 East Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 South) in Sandy, Utah and on Friday at the Draper Stake Center from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Bountiful City Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary (801) 571-2771.
