Terry Bowman Obituary: Early Life and Education
Born in 1945 in Topeka, Kansas to Richard and Della Bowman, Terry later graduated high school in New Jersey before earning his journalism degree from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University).
Proud Military Service
Terry honorably served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany during the Cold War era. His time in Frankfurt and Berlin left a lasting impact.
Successful Career
Before retirement, Terry worked as comptroller for TECHNEGLAS in Columbus, Ohio. He was valued for his diligence and attention to detail.
Cherished Pastimes
In his free time, Terry loved playing golf with his buddies, painting vivid landscapes, immersing himself in Star Wars lore, and gaming on his PS4. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to Alaska.
Caring Animal Lover
Terry will be dearly missed by his beloved cats Amber and Ashleigh, who he treated as family. His compassion extended to all creatures great and small.
Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandpa
Terry shared 55 wonderful years with his wife Linda, whom he married in 1968. He took immense pride in his daughters Jennifer and Jennifer, and adored his granddaughter Ariane. Family was Terry’s greatest joy.
Leaving a Legacy of Love
While Terry Bowman is deeply missed by all who knew him, the kindness, dedication, and spirit he gave so freely continue lighting the way forward for his family. Terry touched every life he encountered meaningfully.
Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, August 25, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner / supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg (724-745-8120). Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023, with full military honors.
