Jarvis Eastlick Wisconsin, Beloved Husband and Father, Passes Away at 47
Jarvis Eastlick Obituary: The small town of Lancaster, Wisconsin is mourning the loss of one of their own this week. Jarvis Scott Eastlick, a lifelong resident and pillar of the community, died tragically at the age of 47 after a UTV accident on Saturday, August 26, 2023. He leaves behind his loving wife and daughter, as well as countless friends and family members whose lives he touched over his decades here.
Early Life and Education in Lancaster
Jarvis was born on April 26, 1976 in nearby Platteville, Wisconsin to Mark and Deanna (Retallick) Eastlick. He spent his childhood in Lancaster, graduating from Platteville High School in 1994. Those who knew him then remember Jarvis as a popular student who excelled both academically and athletically.
Career in the Concrete Construction Business
After high school, Jarvis began working in concrete construction, eventually starting his own company, Eastlick Concrete. He took pride in working alongside his father, Mark, and his business partner Paul Carns over the years. Jarvis was known for the quality of his work and his strong work ethic.
Passion for Auto Racing
In his free time, Jarvis pursued his passion for auto racing. He raced stock cars competitively for 14 years, starting as a young man. Friends say he absolutely loved the thrill of the speedway.
Devoted Husband and Father
Jarvis married the love of his life, Carrie Tanner, on September 5, 2009 in Dubuque, Iowa. Together they had a daughter, Ava Leibfried, who Jarvis doted on. He embraced his roles as a husband and father wholeheartedly.
Love of the Outdoors
An avid outdoorsman, Jarvis enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, “junking”, going on car cruises and UTV rides. He spent as much time as possible immersed in nature, especially when he could share the experiences with friends and family. His tragic passing came during one such UTV outing.

Jarvis Scott Eastlick passed away unexpectedly on August 26th, leaving the entire Lancaster community in mourning. He touched countless lives over his 47 years. Friends and family will honor his memory at a visitation on August 30th at Melby Funeral Home in Platteville. Memorial contributions can be made to the Jarvis Eastlick Memorial Fund.
Jarvis is survived by his wife Carrie, daughter Ava, mother Deanna Wagner, sister Heather Eastlick, and many other relatives. Though his loss leaves a hole in the community, his memory will live on through the people who loved him.
