Andrea Henley Obituary: Early Life

Andrea grew up in the area and graduated from Central High School in 1998. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in education from State University in 2002. It was there that she met her future husband Jamie Henley, who she married in 2005.

The couple settled in Andrea’s hometown where they raised their three children – Jaden, Anden and Lainey. Andrea was a loving mother who always put her family first. Her proudest role in life was being a mom.

Teaching Career

Andrea began her teaching career in 2002 at a local elementary school before joining the faculty at Regis Middle School in 2012. She spent 11 dedicated years at Regis shaping young minds and inspiring students to follow their dreams.

Andrea had a true passion for education. She loved being in the classroom sharing her enthusiasm for learning. Over the years she taught various subjects, acted as drama club director and mentored new staff members.

Fellow teachers remember Andrea as a ray of sunshine at Regis. She was always smiling, laughing and brightening everyone’s day. Her warm personality and kind heart made her beloved by students and faculty alike.

Theater Director

Outside of teaching, Andrea indulged her creative passion through community theater. Along with her husband Jamie, she co-founded Giving Tree Theater in 2015.

Andrea served as director for every Giving Tree Theater production over the past 8 years. She had a gift for bringing out the best in actors and creating an inclusive environment backstage.

Her current production of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” will continue this weekend in Andrea’s honor. She had been intensely involved in rehearsals up until her sudden passing.

Theater was Andrea’s creative outlet. She thrived on collaborating with actors to put on heartwarming productions for the community. Her vibrant energy and vision will be deeply missed during future performances.

Faith and Community

Andrea was a lifelong member of her local church. Her Catholic faith was the foundation for her life. She enjoyed volunteering at church events and activities.

She was also an active parent volunteer for Xavier High School where her three kids attended. Andrea loved supporting her children and being involved in the Xavier community.

Above all, family was always Andrea’s priority. She cherished time spent with her husband Jamie, their three children, parents, siblings, extended family and close friends. Her loved ones will miss her dearly.
